Guitar

Jacob Briddle first fell in love with music at the age of 10, when his Dad inspired him to pick up the guitar. From that moment on, music became a lifelong pursuit.

During the middle & high school years, Jacob played guitar, bass, & piano, participating in bands, choirs, & music programs that helped shape his early musicianship. He quickly stood out for his guitar skills, earning him the winner of the Bunn High School talent show in 2013.

After attending the UNC School of the Arts, where he studied/ majored in guitar, Jacob developed a deep appreciation for music theory, harmony, improvisation, & songwriting. One of the most influential teachers in his journey was Joseph Pecoraro, who inspired him to push musical boundaries and pursue teaching as a way to share that same inspiration with others.

As an active performer, Jacob regularly performs solo shows and with bands at local festivals and church performances & participates in studio sessions, and has had the opportunity to share the stage with CJ Monet. Among the highlights of his musical career so far, Jacob counts his first paid gig at Ruckus Pizza as a defining experience that reaffirmed his love for music.

Teaching became a natural extension of Jacob’s musical journey. Wanting to give back and help others grow, he began teaching guitar to a handful of students in 2017 and has since guided students of all levels toward achieving their musical goals. Jacob believes that every student should learn creativity, confidence, patience, and discipline, and strives to make every lesson engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals.

In lessons, Jacob focuses on technique, theory, ear training, improvisation, and learning songs that inspire students. By combining structure with creativity, he helps each student build a strong foundation while discovering their own unique musical style.

When not teaching, Jacob enjoys composing, recording, performing, & collaborating with local musicians, and remains an active part of the Raleigh music community.
